In School Workshops

In School workshops

Bricks 4 Kidz® programs provide opportunities for children to:

  • awaken curiosity and inquiry
  • stimulate observation and exploration skills
  • enrich and enhance school curriculum
  • link the science concepts learned in school to the larger world

We would like to present you with a fantastic, hands-on learning opportunity with our educational workshops.

Bricks 4 Kidz are experts in learning through play and experienced in running fun and engaging STEM based sessions using the world’s number 1 toy – Lego! Teachers, parents and kids alike just love our classes.

We take learning out of the pages of the textbook and into an imaginative, 3-dimensional, hands-on learning experience!

In school workshops can run from one hour, one morning or for a full school day and range from one class to full school participation. We have experience of running sessions for schools across each year group and we adjust the model building accordingly. We can tie in to a particular theme or idea if you have something specific in mind. All our workshops cover STEM principles so we can fit very easily in to your curriculum.

We can provide evaluation worksheets too if necessary for greater depth challenges. Previous workshops include Space, Lego City building for DT, Gears workshops, Simple Machines, Amusement Park rides, Energy and Cars and Vehicles building.

Benefits of our in-school workshops:

  • Awaken curiosity and inquiry
  • Stimulate observation and exploration skills
  • Enrich and enhance school curriculum
  • Link the science concepts learned in school to the larger world

A Bricks 4 Kidz in-school workshop is a fun-filled, engaging experience that kids will be talking about long after the fun and learning has ended.

Testimonials

“Bricks4Kidz – What an amazing day you provided for our children! The children were engaged from start to finish and the feedback from staff, pupils and parents has been fantastic. We really appreciate you working so closely with us to meet the expectations of our Design Technology outcomes; the children truly had chance to design, make, adapt and evaluate their designs. The children really thought of themselves as architects. I would thoroughly recommend your workshop to any primary school and hope that we can welcome you back next year”Andrea Muir, Year Four Teacher, Loose Primary School.

“At Shernold School, we have an annual Science day. Our theme was Space Encounters and having already had my own child enjoy a Bricks 4 Kidz workshop at her primary school on the same theme, I decided to invite Caroline Cobb and her team to Shernold. The day was a huge success and all of the children commented on how much they enjoyed the workshop activities. The workshops were organised, well-resourced and great fun. Caroline ensured that the planned activities for each year group were age appropriate, challenging but achievable and timed to perfection. I would thoroughly recommend Bricks 4 Kidz and Caroline is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in her field. Michelle Adrian, Science leader at Shernold School, Maidstone.

“Bricks 4 Kidz ran a competition to win a free workshop in a local school, my class (Year 3, Molehill Primary Academy) won and we are so glad we did!! The children absolutely loved the experience, being able to get creative and take control of their learning. They were amazed at being able to create something out of lego which moved with a motor. Thank you for making this experience come to life for our children Caroline!” Tia Chapman, Year 3 teacher at Molehill Academy, Maidstone.
